A Solid History
Bruce Bellamy started the business in 1975 and it was basically remodeling, from kitchens and bathrooms through additions. It grew quickly and in the 80s opened an insurance division and began doing fire and water restoration. In the 80s it also began doing its own excavations and concrete, and by the middle 90s had gone beyond remodeling and was building custom homes. At this time it also embraced the design-build process, which meant Bellamy’s could offer the full spectrum of home-building and remodeling services, from conception and architectural designs and plans, through construction, through amenities selection. When we say “including the kitchen sink” – we mean it.
Today, Bellamy Remodeling is one of the leaders in construction with a strong team of dedicated employees, highly skilled engineering and architectural trade partners and cutting-edge technology, Bellamy Remodeling proudly serves the Albany Capital Region and surrounding areas.

As a full service building and remodeling firm Bellamy Remodeling’s master craftsmen work with you through the necessary processes of zoning, building permits, design & architectural rendition, product selection, and construction.

“Bellamy Remodeling just completed a four-month project on our home and we couldn’t be happier.
The project involved reconstruction of our sunroom including reframing, new windows, lighting, sheetrock, taping and painting, and flawless finish carpentry including refinishing an oak bar. The project also included a major overhaul of the main house including two new stone chimneys, three new skylights, a new hot water heater and a new roof including construction of a new eave and installing new gutter caps.
The design phase was smooth and included all permits and a complete set of plans.
The process was thoughtfully carried out at the direction of foreman (Dan). Barriers were placed to minimize dust in the house (in which we were living) and the worksite was cleaned at the end of each day. Changes and additions were seamlessly implemented.
This is the fourth major project that Bellamy Remodeling was done for us including a custom kitchen and a master bedroom and bathroom suite.

“I hired Bellamy to remodel a covered front porch. They were excellent to do business with. The communication was excellent from first contact to project completion. The workmanship, attention to detail and workers were all excellent. The porch came out wonderful and I receive many compliments.
Shortly after the porch project I hired Bellamy again to do work on a bedroom plaster ceiling. This project also came out great. After the initial visit, they agreed to add me to their list and I’d probably be waiting for 4 months until they could get to me. I ended up waiting 5 months but it was well worth the wait. The work was meticulously planned by Dan (and he conferred with another of the company’s contractors), and carefully carried out, in a very timely manner. And Dan kept every workspace very clean.
